Just came out in UK, been out in US for a while...what's ppls opinions on it? I personally thought it was very good, and cant wait for the DVD... :thumb:

Yeah it was entertaining & something a bit different.

Good cast but a bit messy storytelling.

watched it last night , excellent film , it was different and was visualy stunning - strange to see frodo as a bad guy

I'm a big fan of Frank Miller, and I'm glad that Robert Rodriguez let him in on the making of the movie, it was only right. My only gripes are since I've read all his Sin City graphic novels, I knew what every scene was pretty much going to look like and how every story ended. That being said, Mickey Rourke did a great job, and Jessica Alba actually did a better job than I expected.

Having Tarantino direct a segment sure as hell didn't hurt, either.

It's my movie of the year so far (pretty weak year for movies so far, IMO), with Constantine a distant second.

It looks a lot better than it is because the strongest point the movie has is the visuals. It's been shot very well & in a unique.

Like I said earlier though, the storytelling is a bit messy. The Willis/Alba story is particularly good imo, but that material could've actually stretched for half a movie or more.

And the Clive Owen one seems a bit out of place.

they did have to trim the stories for the film...they will be uncut on the extended dvd edition...(late 2005)

That was one fucked up scene !! I thought the opening scence was very clever and liked the way it fell into place in the final scene . And the splashes of colour were awsome especialy that young hookers eyes . cool film - I wonder what they will come up with next with all these new inventive ways of filming ???
