Should Wrestlers Have a Union?

did anybody catch Larry King Monday Night? he was talking more about Benoit's Murder suicide. he had quite a lineup for the Show. Cena, Jericho, Ted Dibiase, Steve Blackman, and Bret Hart.

and the topic came should wrestlers get a union. Bret thought so as he said the janitors have better benefits than the wrestlers do. Bret had mentioned when a lot of the big names that use to be in the business are no name guys now. usually die off and get depressed and kill themselves. he felt wrestlers should stand up an pull for a union. he threw in wrestlers should have have at least dental benefits.


Vince had one of his attorneys there and HE shot that idea down real quick. i noticed Cena didnt say much as he knew WWE was watching him and his ass would get in trouble if he said the wrong thing. Jericho and Dibiase did most of the talking.

but all of them together just couldnt believe that Chris did these horrible acts. they all agreed that this was a different Benoit then the one they all knew and loved. Jericho believes that Benoit just had anger inside him "bottled up" and then finally BOOM exploded and did what he did.

they agreed that Steroids had nothing to do with it. and they want wanna see what the toxicology reports come back. as Bret said "prove it" that Chris had Roid Rage.

it was a good show. maybe youtube may have somethin. or DL it, for those who missed it.


i would like to see them have a union. you would have to come up with a good solution. but it may never happen WWE would kill that instantly.

It would be a good idea to have a union but Vince would never allow it. Wrestlers seem to come and go so fast that a union would mean alot of money loss for Vince. Especially when almost all of them seem to have a "steroid" problem, even though alot of them might deny it. It'll probably never happen unless all the wrestlers got together and demanded one, which in turn wouldn't really mean shit when theres so many of the no name wrestlers just itching to go up the ladder in the WWE. On a side note Benoit wasn't murdered, he murdered his family and then he commited suicide.....big difference.

while i definitely believe in the idea of a union IN THEORY, in reality it would be very bad for business. wrestlers would be able to go on strike if they felt that they were being put in dangerous situations, but any time you step in the ring it's a dangerous situation. my guess is that if there was a union started up, the first day it was active all the wrestlers would go on strike, for better wages, safer work conditions (no more reckless ladder dives through tables lol), better benefits, etc. all in all i think a union would kill the wrestling business.
