In the last few years there have been several instances of soldiers around the world being put on trial by their own governments for acts of murder.

Given that some of the training for a soldier involves learning how to kill, and some of the resulting work a soldier does in his job involves killing, intentionally or not, how do you feel about this?

Please check out this story for an example of the sort of thing I mean.

they're adults, they can control their own actions, so yes. i know all of you won't agree with me on this but, as a pacifist, i believe that even the killings they commit in war are illegal (and, obviously, immoral) despite that they are "legal" b/c it's war.

well..this is all part of the job description....but there have been cases where soldiers have killed people just cause they have the power...having them under trial is probably out of the question....but simply questioning them about what happend isn't wrong at all...

edit: my point is...having the soldiers tried for murder wouldnt be fair.
