It would help a whole lot if you could go back there and find the syringe and get that tested. Then the doctor would know what you might have been exposed to and give you specific drugs, if necessary.

and the ones who feel strange about me coming to meesage board first before seeing the doctor: i was talking to a doctor i'm familiar with and he kind of comforted me a little, by saying that there's about 0,3-0,5 % possibility of getting HIV through a tiny prick of a needle, because even if your body gets HI virus in small ammount it can be overcome by your body's immunity. Also it depends on how long that syringe was left laying outside. of course, like always, there's possibility...
doctor told me lots of times he accidentally got tiny pricks from needles which were used for patients who were infected with staphylococcus and he didn't get infected.

Yes, afer all the chances of gettin anything through just a needle are very slim. You have a good chance that nothing is going to happen 2 you. So don't trip, people and movies exagerate a lot there..... HOWEVER, since this could be so damn serious, you shouldn't take chances, you know. You gotta see a doctor and do tests. Don't be scared. If you go sooner rather than later they can give you medication that will stop the HIV from developing. It can also take 6 months for HIV to develop and you will need to have another test then. So it's 6 months of worry.

DUDE - go to a doctor cause you have no idea what you're talkin about. I mean, how can u say something like this? First of all there are 3 different forms of hepatitis.
