i cant believe you gotta come on a message board first... i thought going to the doctor straight away would be common sense.

It would help a whole lot if you could go back there and find the syringe and get that tested. Then the doctor would know what you might have been exposed to and give you specific drugs, if necessary.

i wudda chopped off my finger

HIV is not AIDS. and yes, i think hepatitis is worse than HIV.
you can be infected with HIV for years and don't get sick with AIDS.
will do the test after i finish my work, don't blame me.
You think hepatitis is worse than AIDS?
you know you wouldn't
you're mentioning HIV.. i think hepatitis would be even worse..
i had this idea for a moment back then, but did't do that
and the ones who feel strange about me coming to meesage board first before seeing the doctor: i was talking to a doctor i'm familiar with and he kind of comforted me a little, by saying that there's about 0,3-0,5 % possibility of getting HIV through a tiny prick of a needle, because even if your body gets HI virus in small ammount it can be overcome by your body's immunity. Also it depends on how long that syringe was left laying outside. of course, like always, there's possibility...
doctor told me lots of times he accidentally got tiny pricks from needles which were used for patients who were infected with staphylococcus and he didn't get infected.
