Shit's About to Hit the Fan in Easton, PA

Word out is that some major shit is going to go down. The story is that a major drug deal went bad between gangs from Easton Area High School and Bangor High School, and Easton is getting some New York City affiliates to come down and help them take 'em out. All the schools in the area are on "lock down" (some are more secure than others). If you try to enter Easton HS and you don't have your ID, then you're considered a suspect. School was optional for Bangor students today. And I just heard that a driveby is supposed to go down at the Career Institute of Technology.

I'll let you guys know what's real, what's bullshit, and if anything does happen.


And I know a lot of you are going say it's bullshit because of the NYC thing, but if it is bullshit, that's not why. I played ball at the park with some peeps from Brooklyn over the summer - we do know New York.

Bangor SD issues letter to parents on school violence

Bangor school district officials sent a letter home to parents Wednesday about "disturbing rumors" predicting school violence that have spread throughout the high school.

The rumors contain references to guns, fire drills, lockdowns and gangs among other things, said Superintendent John F. Reinhart in the letter.

Reinhart said he believes the rumors were based on several events that have occurred over the past several weeks, and others that are beyond the school's control, such as the anniversary of the shootings at Columbine, the Oklahoma City bombing and the birthday of Adolf Hitler.

"Those among us who focus on the dark side of this world have much to think about this week," Reinhart said.

Two other incidents in the borough also have fueled the rumors, Reinhart said.

One involved a fight between young people, he said. The other concerned a report that a gun may have been brought into the high school on April 8, he said.
