Im hooked on the anime series at the moment, its well good!
It shows on Jetix daily. The stories are based around the stories in the manga comics, of which I have begun to collect. The artwork is good as the stories, plus there is a lot more to the stories in the manga, as stuff gets omitted for the anime. I've not got used to reading the books back to front yet though lol!
Basically its about a group of Shaman (people who can see, talk to, and interact with spirits/ghosts) caught up in some spirit fuelled competition - the spirits aid the contestants in battle with awesome weapons/power - to see who can win and claim the crown of the 'Shaman King'.
Im still trying to decide who is my favourite character out of Yoh, Len, and Ryu. Yoh is quite powerfull being the leader, so he gets to kick a lot of ass; Len can loose his cool in battle (unlike Yoh) and want to depart on a mission of mass destruction; And Ryu is quite dumb but the most amusing.
Shaman king took the afternoon spot off xmen, ever since then I've been watching it and conclude that I am very much a fan of the series.
