Shakurspeare is the upcoming posthumously released album from the late hip hop artist Tupac Shakur, scheduled to be released on June 16, 2010 (the day that would have been his 39th birthday). It will contain some of Shakur's first songs recorded in 1988 during the so called Born Busy Sessions. It will contain older Tupac recordings in their original form. The vocals for "Shakurspeare" were originally recorded in acappella form on cassette in 1988 (when he was known as MC New York) and have since been digitally mastered and paired to contemporary beats crafted by Baltimore producer Darrin Keith Bastfield. Its cover will feature a Bastfield painting portraying Shakur as Shakespeare. According to Afeni Shakur the album will feature a song that 2Pac recorded with Bone Thugs-n-Harmony in 1994 for their debut album Creepin On Ah Come Up. It will have featured guests the first rappers who featured him like Dr. Dre, Daz Dillinger, Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, K-Ci & JoJo, Nate Dogg, Yaki Kadafi, The Notorious B.I.G. recording new verses for the new songs, and other featured guests as new rappers like Eminem, 50 Cent, Xzibit, The Game, Cashis and others.

It sounds like shit already.
They need to recreate UTEOT & Better Dayz type of posthumous albums.

I dont want to hear shit from 1988. His flow sucked back then. Sorry but it is true. Pac didnt hit his stride until like 93.

Quoted for truth.

Pac was on top of his shit from 93 and on.
This just seems like another album that's gonna flop real hard.

Shit from 1988 with artists from nowadays recording their verses? Seriously? SMH.

Yeah, sounds like shit. I don't even listen to Pac's older music and never even listen to Ogs pre Interscope.
I probably won't buy this album.

if all goes according to plan with wideawake/deathrow's 2Pac album release, we could have two pac albums released on the same day!!

meh. me against the world and the makaveli album were both released on a tuesday.

i don't like the album title. how about something decent like 2Pac - The Early Sessions or The Early Years, but Shakursphere? wtf

Either way, I'll buy it.

on another note, the death row box set iis alright. I was surprised how they fit in that t-shirt inside the box lol. I recommend everyone go out and buy it for the alternate version of To Live & Die in LA, if not for everything else.

This shit is fake. Well, not the album's existence but the information on songs and appearances.

1 - Pac never recorded with Bone Thugs prior to doing "Thug Luv" in '96.

2. I'd love to know how Biggie and Kadafi are recording new verses for this. lol.

What a waste, of album or promotion, they should keep this a limited release, no one is going to buy this shit! We want a real album!!

I agree, this should be called The Early Sessions or something like that. I want to hear Tupac but old 1988 verses from MC New York. Can we get a Wideawake album please?
