I heard about it a month or two ago and I finally go around to renting it today. All I gotta say is WHOA. This is the best documentary I have ever seen. I guarantee you if you haven't seen it, you will like it if you watch it. It's some really shocking, but true shit.

A man loses his wife and friends in the September 11th 2001 incident with the twin towers. He sells his house, car and all that shit to get money for this. What he is doing is looking for Osama Bin Laden and the other people responsible for the attack. He does whatever he has to for information. He ends up meeting up with all kinds of people in the documentary and it's some real crazy shit. The gun fighting in this documentary is real dope too. The dvd is basically 8 tapes of the footage. It's just the 1 dude, his translator friend and the camera man. They go from place to place meeting up with people to get answers and information and it always leads to something crazy. The dude is a fucking brave son of a bitch haha. He's sick for real. I don't wanna give anything away though.

Bottom line.. if you haven't saw it, you should get it. :thumb:

I rented it at Hollywood Video. I'm sure you can get it at video stores around your neighborhood.

September Tapes is anything but true man, it's a poorly done fictional movie passing itself off as a documentary, along the same lines as The Blair Witch Project. It's rediculous, its fake and wishful thinking that an American with a camera would get anywhere close to Bin Laden

many Americans went as far as suing Johnston the film maker for using the events of 9/11 to make a film

No. I expected people to post and say it was fake, blah blah. So don't fucking watch it. It's not like i'm putting an ak-47 to your head and telling you to watch it. I heard about it, rented it and liked it. If it's not a true story, it's not a true story. Show me proof and then it's fine.

The film is a fictional movie shot as a documentary. Most of the film isn't real, but certain parts do contain the truth. I'm not denying that. The director's intention was to provide a captivating docu-fiction movie in which his audience can try sort fact from fiction

September Tapes sounds like the stuff of true tension and pathos, but it doesn't work. As you may have guessed from the tired setup, the film is fictional – as a result, it feels oddly void of the reality it tries so hard to convey.

Director Christian Johnston and co-writer Christian van Gregg turn their good intentions into a series of bad moves. First, as Johnston has explained, they chose to make a fictional film due to fears that a documentary might not sell into the market,

Don Larson is actually actor George Calil starring in a fictional film by director Christian Johnston using the same mock-doc set-up as The Blair Witch Project used.
It's not like i'm putting an ak-47 to your head and telling you to watch it.
It's not like i'm putting an ak-47 to the heads of TB members and telling them Not to watch it.

Just cause the film aint real does not mean people should refrain from watching it, hell i just saw war of the worlds, i refuse to believe that movie is fact, or is it?

You really felt like you had to go all out? Like I was personally attacking you or something?
