It's obvious they're both contradicting, one concentrating on yourself and the other on another. But anyways, self-actualization is more important. What an accomplishment it would be to actually know yourself. There is only one result of it, a peace of mind and fulfillment. There's alot to it.As you know, the term "self-actualization" deals with finding out who you are as a person, strenghts and weaknesses, your potential, and working off it, in a nut-shell. I asked whether that is more important than marriage and raising a family.
