So the problem here isn't about whether someone's black or white, it's about whether they're rich or poor. And why does a higher percentage of the black population than the white population live in poor areas?

Mexican-Americans are already segragated in Texas educational system. More segregated than Blacks in the south are.

I'm not jumping to conclusions, I never said you thought it was a good idea. I was just saying, the goal may be positive but that doesn't mean anything. Obviously if the goal was negative then it wouldn't have been brought up at all.

it's based on an American study which showed that black kids performed better when in all-black classes. I don't know anything about the study, though.

It makes sense, because you'll perform better when you're with people you're more comfortable with. Being comfortable in class has a lot to do with how you do. Take, for example, asking questions. There were times I kept questions to myself in class because I didn't feel comfortable in class. This may be the case for others as well.

I say: give it a try for kids that want it, and lets see how well it goes. I don't mean to sound racist, but I'd probably do better in an all-black class.

I always did better in classes where I had no Bosnians around me. I felt more uncomfortable which helped me grow and learn better. Go figure.

here the parents put their white kids on white schools and their black kids on black schools and the GOVERNMENT is the one who wants to mix that...

that a white school is better than a black school is bullshit,
the muslim school had the 2nd highest grades from all schools in my country ... still white parents believe white schools would be better for their children...
