Second lottery on tap for WWE

April 10, 2005

The WWE changed the entire landscape of the business after WrestleMania XX last year and is looking to do it again after a very successful Mania 21. The company will hold the second annual draft lottery at the double-roster show April 18 at Madison Square Garden, but it wants to do it in a way so it becomes a mainstay for years to come.

Last year's lottery was a bit disjointed, but look for this year's to be much more detailed and organized. Top candidates to be moved: Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio and Big Show.

As for Mania last week, The Undertaker pinned Randy Orton with a tombstone pile driver, Michaels tapped out to Kurt Angle and the ankle lock, Edge won the bank ladder match, Trish defeated Christy Hemme, Mysterio beat Eddie Guerrero, Akebono defeated Big Show in the sumo competition, John Cena won the WWE title from JBL and Batista pinned HHH after a Batista bomb for the World title. Eugene was attacked by Muhammad Hassan, but Hulk Hogan came out to make the save in the highlight of the night.

NOTE: The WWE will be bringing back the ''Saturday Night Main Event'' in the coming months. It has secured a deal to have wrestling return to NBC.

I hate the double franchise wrestling. Make it one franchise.
Grrr. Do you not realise that without the two brands, people like Eddie, Cena and Shelton Benjamin wouldn't have had the opportunity to shine? Do you not realise that the likes of Christian, Edge, Rey Mysterio and Carlito would be in far worse positions were there just one brand?

Agreed. It gives more opportunity to lesser stars to shine and the plus side no Triple H on Smackdown!

Yes The 2 Brands Are Good Its Just Fans Wish It Could Stay Like The Good Ol Days. 1 Show. Its Too Damm Bad People Like HHH Have To Hold People Back. If He Was Willing To Be Flexible An Let Others Have The Top Spot For A While. YES You Could Go back To One Show.

But We Know That'll Never Happen. Unless Stephanie Files For Divorce Soon. You Got That Possibility Or HHH Will SellOut Like The Rock An Say "The Hell With It" I Had My Fun I'll Go Make Movies.
Vince Kicks The Bucket. I'll Come Back An Be Co-Owner. :D

Fans actually wishes that? I am a fan and most of my friends are fans and we are happy that more wrestlers have an opportunity to shine.

To tell you the truth Triple H made Batista so I give the hooknose fag that. Yes I hate Triple H but I give him credit for Batista.

I'm looking forward to the return of the Saturday Night Main Event!

And Get In The Van I Have Candy, I like Triple H - a wrestler's wrestler - particularly in light of the mentioning of Batista - a dude who is a powerhouse without a doubt but reminds me of Hogan with his inability to wrestle.
