Scratching cars with keys

Ok...well we just bought a new car...

and in the last two weeks, its been scratched with 2 times with a key...hence it was "keyed" huhu

anyways what the fuck is the point of doing this... I mean i have no reference to any nationality, music taste, religion in my car.... hence theres no point of doing that.

I mean its alright to fucking scratch a car if theres a swastika flag in it or something but just to scratch a random car like that its bullshit


anyways its been done two times on the same place on the car, at the same time of the day (saturday nights both times)

any guesses on how to find out who did it so i beat someone down?

Its probably someone you know who has done it both times.They could be jealous of your car or they might hate you.If you find out i hope you kick the shit out of them because scratching someones car behind their back is weak.

when i bought my car (brand new) it got keyed several times with a total damage of over $15,000. i'd get it fixed and in a week another panel would be keyed. the police did nothing of course. the best thing you can do if it happens again is get 0 deductible comprehensive insurance (i have always carried 0 deductible) and find a garage for your car. it will love you for it.

had i known the keyer would be so zealous i'd have painted each panel a custom color. in the end i repainted the entire car except for one quarter panel.

portable dvrs run about 1700 hundred dollars and thats without the camera. only other thing u could do is place a camera outside a 56 ir indoor outdoor camera buy some plug and play and connect it to a vcr and buy a 9 hour tape( more affordable that way tops 300.00 bucks maybe) that is if its happening at your house. so if it does happen and u catch it on tape and it is your neighbor u have proof and then u can press charges and get your car fixed....its what i do for a living is sell cameras for homes and business's and personal protection for cops and PI's.

I bought a car this past spring and i'd flip the fuck out if someone ever keyed my car its my pride and joy.... and i don't blame you for wantin to beat some ass

If it is your neighbor though, i wouldn't recommend beating his ass if hes only like 16-17... unless you're not 18 then go for it...

But yeah if you got beef with someone, do it physically.. .its a bitch move to key someones car

DON'T do the camera thing. i was going to (the pigs suggested it) but checked with my lawyer and he said that without an admission of guilt private video of vandalism is often inadmissible for a variety of reasons.

you may bluff and put a note on your car saying "smile you're on tape" or something.

The scratches are not that deep, but they are done the same way...not deep just like "i did it to say that i did it"... which makes me think that its a kid you know..

There used to ve a little kid across my street who used to scratch my car with a stone all the time. I caught him once threatned him and he never did it again. he was just 9 or soething though

But I alaways keep a sign inside the car on the windscreen that says " THis car is being filmed by a surveilance camera" never had no problems!

Most likely, it's probably someone you know or a person who doesn't like you that's doing this, or maybe even the odd biker that comes along and keys random cars while passing through you're area.

Getting some kind of security might be the best thing to do. Maybe you could decrease the pressure level on your alarm system so that even the very slightest bit of pressure applied to the vehicle will lead it to the alarm going off. Which will be much easier for you to be able to catch him because right when the alarm goes off, you will hear it and be there.
