they come to grips that they'll suck again next year, trade down for more picks, address concerns other than quarterback, and took Matt Leinart next year. Do any of you actually see Aaron Rogers or Alex Smith being franchise quarterbacks?

That's excatly what they should do, I don't see Alex Smith or Aaron Rogers becoming franchise QB's. They should just trade it or just draft Braylon Edwards, they are gonna be bad next season, and get Matt Leinart who I think will be a franchise QB, and a real good fit for 49ers. or possibly the Raiders

thats a good idea, but how are the fans/free agents going to look at the 49ers if they keep losing season after season? they're not guaranteed to get Leinart anyways, someone else could suck even more. they're not gonna just throw games. and who says Leinart would wanna sign with such a lowly team?

SF is a historic franchise...if they use the draft to address their other needs, it could show Leinart how much they want him and that they are looking to imrpove

He could be the next Steve Young type of quarterback there.. and since Steve Young made the hall of fame, haha, he could probably easily do it as well

I'd draft someone on offense like Cedric Bensen

then next year when they will more than likely have the #1 draftpick again, draft Leinart and have a nice core intact for them

they will always suck. I think it is a law of life. Maybe Paul Tagliabue will make it an official rule to help out the 49ers.
