Am I the only one that thinks it's weird how this dude goes from being captured and brought to the US for court and all that to being brought back to Iraq to be hung by weird dudes in ski masks?
He wasn't brought to the U.S. he remained in Iraq the entire time near what was formally known as "Saddam International Airport".
On the subject, its fuck'n sad people are so geeked about seeing a human being having his life taken. No matter what you think of the man or what you "heard" he was not given a fair trail and his fate was sealed from the beginning. The man was helped put in power by the U.S. supplied by the U.S. and the CIA helped train his military, then when he no longer fit their purpose, was tossed to the side and labeled the enemy. He kept Iraq in check, the order Saddam demanded during his time as president was a necessary evil, the middle east is a hard place to be a ruler without some type of iron fist rule. I'm not saying he was a saint nor Mr.Wonderful. But look at present day Iraq and look at Iraq 5 years ago, huge difference. 5 years ago no chaos, no insurgency. There was order and law. today Iraq is a mess of anarchy and terrorism.
Up until the end he went out like a man of honor, he never flinched, budged or showed fear, his head held high. His death changes nothing. It wasn't "justice for Iraqis" it was Bush Jr.'s version of payback, self loathing and greed. There are dozens of dictators in this world, many of which make Saddam look like a boyscout. This wasn't about justice or freedom for the Iraqi people, it was about one mans greed and lies one mans will, the President Of The United States, now if thats not dictatorship then I don't know what is. So before you curse the man (Hussein) curse the monster who created him, fed him, trained him, supplied him, then stabbed him in the back.
