S.O.N is the group that consists of me, J Loose and Lyrics G. This is our first recording over the How We Do beat.

Now I know that my part is shit. I was the first one in the studio and was nervous as fuck. You artists know how it is the first time. So all I want to know is what I could do better for next time. I will be the first voice you hear. Also tell me what you think of the other two; J Loose (comes in after me) and Lyrics G (starts his verse with "to spit or not to spit").

Other info:

We are all 17. Me and Loose are white and Lyrics is black. We come from Leicester in England.

Lyrics G has been around for some time and is well-known around Leicester. He has even been in the same stage event as UB40.

Me and J Loose are newcomers. Loose's first verse was done straight away in a first-take!

We will be re-doing Remember The Name probably over the So Seductive beat.

beat=bleh. need somethin 4 an intro...Im guessing this is the hook. No presence at all, U sound like U scared of the mic but I understand the 1st time thing. Flows a bit choppy, levels need 2 be upped, add some backing vocals if need be to add presence. Ride the beat better, pronounciation dont sound 2 bad, but again levels need 2 be upped so I can tell 4 sure. 2nd dude sounds much nicer and polished, solid flow. Last dude sounds a bit retarded [not tryna hate, but some kid w/ down syndrome on the mic pops in2 my head with his verse], flow was pretty solid, dude needs 2 finish sentences in his bars though cuz it sound slike some fucked up broken English. Basically, be4 U go any further U jus need 2 work on ur confidence/delivery/flow and thatll up ur game a LOT. Keep elevatin.

i find it great that hip hop has gone as far as england, and onto the song.

it's only your first song so you can't judge it much... i've worked with alot of artists who put out shitty first songs, and ended up bein' dope by the tenth. but i think everyone on the crew need to polish up the lyrics just a bit, but that comes with time.

never felt beat for a mixtape track, i think that 50 and Game worked it but its all good, didnt realize it was UK rap its all good, i dont agree with you sounding "afraid" of the mic, your verse sounds kind of like a hook due to the pausing and rhyming but its kind of effective, if you tried to ride the beat a little bit more I think you would be more sucessful (its a problem i have). your rhyming is pretty much on point, using simple words though.

your accent on the whole track doesnt get in the way of hearing your shit, you speak clearly same with the other guys, that is a major plus, if you guys had switched it up on a different beat i think that would've been hotter

keep it up, i think that this is dope for a first drop

Hip-Hop got here loooooong ago, man. Long.

I checked this as you my age and UK guys. I'm not into rapping on commertial beats like this, I think we all used to do it (I even had a verse to this, in fact) but you want something a little more hip-hop I think, maybe abit more UK. Saying that I quite liked the track. First guy was OK, could put a little more heart into it though. Second guy was dope. Third, not feeling that, needs to organise his flow, it'll come with time.

sorry but i think it's pretty whack, brits run the alternative rock world, but this sounds like an american does when trying to do reggae or dancehall, it just doesnt sound right.
