I'm not forcing my opinion on anyone. I also haven't come out with any pro West comments, any pro Ukraine comments any pro/anti Russian comments. I do comment on how the less educated, think they are more educated than they actually. Of which you are the perfect example. I have shared how these thoughts have originated from the American right, which in most European countries would be considered the extreme right. But even democrats would be considered right of centre to most European countries.

This builds on the assumption that true democracy means every person is involved with every decision. That's a phallacy. Democracy never worked that way, never could work that way, I don't want it to work that way. You are also misinterpreting something here.

The thing about democracy isn't that it's perfect. It's that it creates better societies. All the suicide and depression statistics or environment/animal cruelty documentaries in the world couldn't make me disagree with that statement. In every measurable way, our societies are better. End of discussion. But please make some wholesome arguments about who beats us out on that.

If someone's lived under a different "paradigm" for long enough, the plasticity of their brain, the existing neural structures in their brain, and the time left in their lines draw up a crossing point after which there is no going back as far as being pre-conditioned for certain emotions and behaviors goes. If you've been a devout muslim for 50 years, you've enforced some neural pathways and stimulated certain areas of the brain more than certain other areas of the brain, and just like scar tissue, that will always "be there". You can't destroy existing neural pathways, only build new ones on top of them. Which is why for example addiction is such a difficult thing to get out of. Facts.

So when someone that doesn't live in the west tells me "western society, hmfh" I just laugh at them. And when someone that did live in the west, but somehow managed to have a terrible experience from it tell me "western society, hmfh", I laugh at them too. If you got raped, robbed, stabbed, cheated or tricked, none of that has anything to do with the west. If someone has way more than they deserve, that has nothing to do with the west. Bitterness is a funny thing, some people would rather EVERYONE have it terrible, than a select few. As if the fact that some people have shitty lives, or the 1% get richer while people starve is a reason to not continue the "western experiment". As if those things are somehow proof that the west is terrible. As if those things wouldn't be more prevalent by a factor of 2000 in poorer countries. In Russia, people are murdered on the street by government agencies for having an opinion that's different to the president's. Are you seriously defending that shit while throwing shade on us? Maaan. Why do you think there were 58 absentions and 18 non votes? What do you make of that? I see 93 in favor, 76 that don't give two fucks (or are playing a diplomatic game to stay off of Russia's radar but would have voted yes if Russia didn't have hacker centers and troll factories that fuck with anyone that Kreml have it out for) and 24 against. Are you suggesting the 76 absentions/non-votes were somehow tricked into or kept from voting, and that had their actual votes been cast, they would have changed the outcome of the process? You are saying that Russia was unrightfully removed from the UN? If you think that, you are wrong, you don't understand what democracy actually is, and I can only summize that you have this idealistic version of "democracy" that whenever people speak about democracy, you think it's that idea you have they're speaking about, but it never was, and your idea is idealistic and guillible lol.

This is an interesting point (completely detached from the pro-Russia troll-fighting). Isn't the fact that we were raised in western societies conditioning us to define success criteria that we seem to prioritize that may not essentially be so objective? Western countries value democracy, wealth accumulation, freedom from persecution (but not social alienation) for personal expression, economic prosperity, absolute safety even if it means extreme process/law control, and staying within a certain comfort zone and constraints of defined procedures and strict social norms that entail safety.

But whenever I spend extended periods of time in places like South America, Southeast Asia, or some less "western" European countries around the Mediterranean or the Adriatic I start thinking about it all differently. Those countries are neither particularly wealthy or dirt poor, nor horribly repressed - just somewhere in the middle, with somewhat different cultural priorities.

Case in point: I lived in Thailand when the previous critically acclaimed king was in power. It is illegal to speak against the king, and there are no elections that mattered. The experience was completely different than our democracies, but I got why the majority actually liked it. As in you could tell that people were happy the way things were. It was kind of cool. Nobody worried about or argued about politics seeing as political parties were not even a concept anyone was familiar with. People had a more united perception of their future as one nation, and had faith in a stable succession of the government and an eternal safety net that the kingdom that's "been around since forever" provided. They genuinely would not understand why would anyone see value in making managing the country a sports contest with your "main managers" constantly changing, and in a burdensome fashion at that.

Also, we may take pride in having a lower risk of road accidents resulting in death, while another culture may take pride in purposefully loosening the enforcement of restrictions that may lead to casualties in the name of.. entertainment. There are places where people choose to drive a motorbike while shitfaced with three passengers on their backs believing they are having the time of their lives. They may ridicule the "stiffness" and "boredom" of western procedures, processes and laws that often eradicate enjoyment in the name of the highest possible practicality and safety.

We may think that polite small talk is nice and safe, while someone somewhere else may be appalled at the idea of trying to kill the joy of pure, dynamic, genuine social interactions and replace it with safe meaningless vocalizations. We may think we have the most freedoms to communicate any way we want, but if you step out of line you're an outcast or the "weirdo", or "crazy", and your quality of life drops dramatically. In Eastern Europe a crazy dude who bungee jumps off roofs and makes moonshine on the weekends may be just a cool uncle with awesome stories people want to be around to hear.

We may think we're better because we're making more money and can buy more stuff, and on a superficial level people wish they had the material outcomes our salaries bring. But I've had so many people in less wealthy countries genuinely pity me the effort and time needed to get there. It is sad to them to understand that I don't live primarily focused on my friends, family, and an enjoyable life, but I live thinking about a difficult meeting at work, or a project plan instead.

In western countries, when someone goes to work their household members may tell them "have a good day at work", or "crush it", while in many other countries it would be "don't work too hard". We are mentally focused on our work days, while in most countries they'd be focused on planning their time after work, with their work day being something they have to get out of the way. Most countries also care very little about someone's profession, while in Western countries it's a much more defining trait. We dehumanize mailmen, plumbers, and even ourselves when we say something unthinkable elsewhere like "I'm a senior accountant at IBM. I love my job. How about you?" instead of "I'm Joe, I like painting, but nothing brings me more joy on a Friday night than camping with my friends, talking about our hopes and dreams while watching the stars - wanna do that next weekend?".

I traveled to Colombia to visit my old friend. She lived in the US for a while, and made a conscious choice to move back home, disappointed with the experience and displeased with how American life actually feels like once there. She refers to North America as "false advertisement".
I had a time of my life in South America, and was welcomed with open arms into a social circle of employed adults that consider work an afterthought - life was about getting together, eating well, drinking well, making sure everyone is feeling good, and building genuine connections. Years later I miss how this felt because we've got nothing like this here in Canada. Once I came back home to my usual life, I had one strong thought in my mind - I felt like I'm paying for an expensive gym membership that I never use.

I couldn't shake the feeling that at a huge cost we've built a more orderly and stable society that we aren't enjoying or taking advantage of. We're too busy maintaining it for the sake of it, never to pause to use it to the fullest towards.. happiness. A ponzi scheme that you have to climb to one day deserve to enjoy your life, maybe once you can afford a house, then maybe when you pay off your mortgage, then maybe after you finally stop working all the time and retire. While people elsewhere may detest the idea of spending most of their life focused on building "meaningless" wealth in a safe cage and then dying.

While we're here in our glass houses thinking how bad those people in Ecuador have it and how superior our lives are, and while they may envy us our iPhones and fancy clothes, they really have an abundance of things we in turn lack. I wonder if we can honestly say we've objectively got it all-around "better" than them because we have more of the things that we decided quantify what's supposedly most important.

Aside from the Anti-Russia propaganda. I have an internal conflict with east and west - just me, and i'm not picking half of me. No disrespect but the white man doesn't need to come rescue the poor brown people anymore - as if though Africans or Asians are incapable of understanding democracy. People in places like Donbass genuinely do not want to be part of the western-funded regime in Ukraine - ever heard of Minsk II Agreement? I'm not cheering for a dying empire. I've wondered what it would take to stop the war machine and America getting her ass handed to her by the bear might do the trick.

What am I advocating? A speedy end to America's war machine.

What I'm advocating - If I was a place like Norway, I'd aim for a smooth detachment from the Anglo-American axis, finding the land's own ways to prosper. Forget the "we must unite" empty talk. I think that's a huge part of the infamous populism. For nations to be more self-sustained less dependent on the Empire. Globalists and their organizations suck big time. Sergey Lavrov: When we talk about the Ukrainian crisis, first of all we need to look at the destructive policy of the Western states conducted over many years and led by the United States, which set a course to knock together a unipolar world order after the end of the Cold War. NATO’s reckless expansion to the East was a key component of those actions, despite the political obligations to the Soviet leadership on the non-expansion of the Alliance. As you know, those promises were just empty words. All these years, NATO infrastructure has been moving closer and closer to the Russian borders.

The West was never concerned about the fact that their actions grossly violated their international obligations not to strengthen their own security at the expense of the security of others. In particular, Washington and Brussels arrogantly rejected the initiatives put forward by Russia in December 2021 to ensure our country’s security guarantees in the west: to stop the expansion of NATO, not to deploy armaments that pose a threat to Russia in Ukraine and to return the Alliance’s military infrastructure to the 1997 configuration, when the NATO-Russia Founding Act was signed.

It is well-known that the United States and NATO member states have always viewed Ukraine as a tool to contain Russia. Over the years, they have actively fuelled anti-Russia sentiments there, forcing Kiev to make an artificial and false choice: to be either with the West or with Moscow.

It was the collective West that first provoked and then supported the anti-constitutional coup d’etat in Kiev in February 2014. Nationalists came to power in Ukraine and immediately unleashed a bloody massacre in Donbass, and set the course on the destruction of everything Russian in the rest of the country. Let me remind you that it was precisely because of this threat that the people of Crimea voted in a referendum for the reunification with Russia in 2014.

Over these past years, the United States and its allies have done nothing to stop the intra-Ukrainian conflict. Instead of encouraging Kiev to settle it politically based on the Minsk Complex of Measures, they sent weapons, trained and armed the Ukrainian army and nationalist battalions, and generally carried out the military-political development of Ukraine’s territory. They encouraged the aggressive anti-Russia course pursued by the Kiev authorities. In fact, they pushed the Ukrainian nationalists to undermine the negotiating process and resolve the Donbass issue by force.

We were deeply concerned about the undeclared biological programmes implemented in Ukraine with Pentagon’s support in close proximity to the Russian borders. And, of course, we could not disregard the Kiev leadership’s undisguised intentions to acquire a military nuclear potential, which would create an unacceptable threat to Russia’s national security.

In these conditions, we had no other choice but to recognise the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics and launch the special military operation. Its aim is to protect people from genocide by the neo-Nazis, as well as to demilitarise and denazify Ukraine. I would like to stress that Russia is acting to fulfil its obligations under bilateral agreements on cooperation and mutual assistance with the DPR and LPR, at the official request of Donetsk and Lugansk under Article 51 of the UN Charter on the right to self-defence.

The special military operation launched on February 24 is progressing strictly in accordance with the plan. All its goals will be achieved in spite of our opponents’ counteractions. At the moment we are witnessing a classic case of double standards and hypocrisy of the Western establishment. By publicly supporting the Kiev regime, NATO member states are doing everything in their power to prevent the completion of the operation by reaching political agreements. Various weapons are flowing endlessly into Ukraine through Poland and other NATO countries. All of this is being done under the pretext of “fighting the invasion”, but in fact the United States and the European Union intend to fight Russia “to the last Ukrainian.” They do not care at all about the fate of Ukraine as an independent subject of international relations.

The West is ready to jeopardise the energy and food security of entire regions of the globe to satisfy its own geopolitical ambitions. What ither explanation is there for the unrestrained flywheel of anti-Russian sanctions launched by the West with the start of the operation and which they aren’t thinking of stopping?

If the United States and NATO are truly interested in settling the Ukrainian crisis, then, first, they must come to their senses and stop supplying weapons and ammunition to Kiev. The Ukrainian people do not need Stingers and Javelins; what they need is a solution to urgent humanitarian issues. Russia has been doing this since 2014. During this time, tens of thousands of tonnes of humanitarian cargo have been delivered to Donbass, and about 15,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid have already arrived in the part of Ukraine liberated from the Kiev regime, the DPR and the LPR, since the launch of the special military operation.

Second, it is essential that the Kiev regime stops cynical provocations, including in the information space. Ukrainian armed formations are barbarically shelling cities using civilians as living shields. We saw examples of this in Donetsk and Kramatorsk. Captured Russian servicemen are being abused with animal cruelty, and these atrocities are being posted online. At the same time, they use their Western patrons and global media controlled by the West to accuse the Russian army of war crimes. As they say, laying the blame at somebody else’s door.

It is high time for the West to stop unconditionally whitewashing and covering up for Kiev. Otherwise, Washington, Brussels and other Western capitals should consider their responsibility for complicity in the bloody crimes perpetrated by the Ukrainian nationalists.

I think this highlights an example of why harmony of different sides are beneficial.

Medicine

Western Moral Philosophy also tends to focus on the Morality of the individual or the individual’s actions, rather than the Morality of the collective. We see similar trends in medicine. We find that western medicine tends to treat isolated areas. Western medicine employs surgeries that treat isolated areas, monofunctional pharmaceuticals that treat isolated areas. If you have pain in your liver, Western Doctors treat your liver, not your entire body, not your spirit, not your family, not your friends, not your house, not your meditation practice. They are going to treat the isolated areas. Traditional Eastern Medicine, on the other hand, tends to treat the body holistically, focusing on the whole body with acupuncture, diet, massage, meditation, social relationships, etc. There is a focus not on the isolated area but on the whole, and the interaction between all of the different areas.

These are simplifications and gross generalizations, but they are intended to highlight the differences between the two thinking styles. Sometimes generalizations can be useful. However, this is all muddied by an increase in globalization in the last 50 years. More westerners picking up the eastern worldview, and more easterners picking up the western worldview. What we’re analyzing here, though, is the traditional culture.
