Technology Rip Cd that have protection? how do i get them to ipod?

My Cuban link cd is protected some how once i load it into windows media player and rip it to mp3 it skips a thousand times over and when i rip it off the disc it does it in wmv and is protected

all i want to do is put it on my ipod how can i?

google it
and then use that method with the media player

I use CDex and it works fine
