Rick Ross (born William Roberts on January 21, 1977 in Carol City, Florida) is an American rapper of Haitian descent. Ross' moniker is borrowed from drug trafficker "Freeway" Ricky Ross (drug trafficker), who ran one of the largest cocaine distribution networks in the country during the 1980s and early '90s. He signed with Slip-N-Slide, which as of 2007, is distributed under Def Jam Records.
Trilla is the second studio album (third album overall) by Miami rapper Rick Ross. The album was originally scheduled to be released December 18, 2007 but was pushed back to March 11th, 2008. The first single was "Speedin'" featuring R&B singer R. Kelly. "Street Money" featuring Flo Rida was thought to be the second single but was then released as street single. The second single is now "The Boss", featuring T-Pain.
