I just want to give an RIP shoutout to Jimi Hendrix. Today is the 35th anniversary of his passing. Damn, Jimi I bet you never thought you would be as recognised and loved as you are. I hope you can see what's going on from up there, and how many lives you have inspired and continue to inspire everyday. Your music still sounds as fresh and current today as when you recorded it. I wish you got the credit you deserve. Some of the media and people in general, still see you as just an amazing guitarist and virtuoso entertainer/showman. Somehow, they blindly fail to realise your talents as a songwriter/composer/lyricist/vocalist. How, I don't know. It's plain to see.
The soul and emotion you poured into your voice and delivery, the vibrant musical scenes painted. Your deep, poetic, existentialist lyrics at the very heart of life itself, the warping and fusion of genres and creation of new ones, your spirituality, kindness and love for humanity never cease to amaze me, and it goes on - you go on.
I hope Pac has met up with Jimi and the rest of them, and they're all making amazing music in the sky
The story of life is quicker than the blink of an eye, the story of love is hello and goodbye.
And though castles made of sand fall in the sea, I'll meet you in the next world. I won't be late
JAM IN PEACE
