Well they are at least 6 months apart, so I can buy one and save up for the next one. At least... Thats the plan. We'll see what happens. Right now if the 360 came out today I couldnt afford it.

Yeah I remember when Mortal Kombat 3 was brand new on Super Nintendo and it was like 80 bucks too lol. Anyway, I found out that you can still buy the default Xbox360 packages at Game Stop and or EB if you pre-order at the actual store. So there are 2 main packages. The Xbox360 and The Xbox360 Core System (which nobody will buy). Xbox 360 is $399. Xbox 360 Core System is $299.

I reserved mine a few months ago. I think the 360 has an awesome launch lineup, what with all the sports games, racers, adventure, action, etc. This will be a good system, especially when Resident Evil 5 and Halo 3 ship for it!

Oh, and some Xbox 1 games will be playable, but not all of them. The problem is that the chip inside of Xbox 1 is a different chip than the one inside 360. Therefore, it's hard for Microsoft to get around all the red tape to allow their new system to play their old games. So, a few games will be playable on the 360, but probably only the big ones, like Halo 1+2, etc.

Microsoft first party and second party games have dropped down to 49.99 except for PDZ Special Collectors Edition (Which is still at $59.99)
