But, seriously, I mean, people abused the rep and neg-rep. People thought that if they were repped by a person, they would have to rep the person back. That was not the intended purpose of the rep system in the beginning. I'm glad it was taken out.

Is it possible to make it so people can still send comments about your posts but just not add any reputation? I know you can do that thru PM but its so much easier just clicking that box, plus you dont loose the thread, also it wouldnt throw the thread off track. Just a thought.
Not really fussed bout loosing the dots other than the page just doesnt look right now, it needs a lil colour. I agree with it in a way, the intended purpose of the whole thing was to award the people who added to the board in a good way, but some of the people on that first page made you go huh?

In my opinion, they were good as they allowed you to see what posters liked your posts and why. They were definitely a good addition to the board and i don't understand why everyone loses the privilege (so to speak) cos of some people fucking around. We dont remove the post count cos _carmi freeposts do we D)?

Why not just get rid of the whole "banned if you get neg repped too much" aspect? It'll get rid of any motivation for neg-repping assaults, and even if it was still abused, it wouldn't do any harm.

IMO the people who you know were involved should have their "repping rights" suspended for a set period (like the temp bans) until they learn to use the system properly. If they continue to abuse it just remove the right completely. Then they don't get repeatedly repped by their pals and can't run around effectively banning people in a group.

Another good suggestion was Jess' about dropping the fact you get points, instead you just get to leave a comment so you know who appreciates what posts.

The whole thing about it is that you find like minded people through the comments section whereas if it's just in a thread it's seen as a freepost to just say "I agree" or "nice post".

after an long night of cryong over the fact that reps are gone, i finally moved on. do the same people.

btw ill-matic, i was joking when i asked a rep back when i was repping someone. you dont really think i was serious do you? lmao

pittsey, what was the definition of a good reason to rep, and a good reason to neg rep, i'd like to know that.

and its true that if i neg repped or criticized kami, diaz or prince mack, i'd have all three neg repping me back after.


PS no i didnt cry, no i didnt waste time asking myself: "what am i gonna do reps are gone." didnt even need to move on. they are gone, not coming back, life goes on. at the end of the day, i dont care about reps.
