i never understood the whole flaming shots thing... it's burning up the liquor and there's a distinct potential for injury, right? so how is this better than a non-flaming shot again?

Its kind of stupid. I had Absinth a week or two ago and they lit it up at the bar... Ermm... You're not supposed to light Absinth "to melt the sugar" you're supposed to do the opposite and pour ice cold water over the sugar.

Dumb asses, but what else can you expect from Australian bars who refuse to put vodka in the freezer because "it might freeze"?

LMAO, i know vodka doesnt freeze, i have russian friends and they wont drink it unless its been in the freezer.

i keep all my liquor in the freezer... anything over 60 proof won't freeze from my experience.
