Seriously though, I remember days when I wouldnt research on the net because it was just crap, it was easy to fall into the trap of referencing misleading information as, unlike books, to post information on the net you dont need a publisher - no one is accountable or under control of the information given. I think now though, people are better able to gauge what constitutes a good source on the net and a bad one and in some ways, the easiest and most effective way of transferring info is done via the internet.

We had so many people on mirc chatrooms. Different schools in melbourne had different rooms, and we'd all go in a central room and talk and try and pick up and sound tough. Because we were tough. People were tough enough to insult you with an anonymous name but were too pussy to tell u who they were.

Ah the days. The amount of fights that broke over mirc was priceless. My ex and i met through mirc. (i am suddenly overwhelmed by this feeling of nostalgia)

Fuck Yahoo and MSN. It was all about IRC chats and Mirc scripts and shit. I used to go on those for days. Everybody I knew here would go on that. Then, when that cooled down, it was time for AIM. I used AIM to search profiles and look up girls and always the infamous ASL question first. Ahh, good times.
