Honestly I think it is the biggest bullshit I have ever heard...

I don't believe we have a soul I don't believe in after life I don't believe in God but I got something to say and I dunno where to start so I'll just type whatever pops up in my head...That might be a bit confusing but try to puzzle it out till I edited my post...

One of my teachers once told me how ppl go into hypnosis to find out about their other lifes...

Ppl pay for hypnosis sessions to find out about how they ''used to be''. A waste of money in my opinion I think you just start fantasizing...
Plus hypnosis only works if you believe it in neway...so that's 1 reason why I already think it is bullshit...

Some ppl say the soul seperates the body when it dies and enters a new body right b4 the birth...<<I think that is bullshit too..I think there are a couple of options..

option 1. The mother carries a ''soulles'' body for almost 9 months
option 2. An old soul enters it's new body the moment sperm and cells from the mother come together...
option 3. I have misunderstood what I heard.
option 4. I did understand what was being said and than I believe I was told a bad joke..or a bad theory...

What do you think about this theory..Do you believe ur soul will leave ur body in the 1st place...IF you believe in reincarnation when do you think your soul well enter it's new body..?

Ok here's a lil story...

2 days ago i was listening to the radio and a woman called in to talk about her experiences in her other lifes...She was once was a rabbit ..She even had a sexchange She was once a young boy but died when she 15...The DJ asked her if she only lived in The Netherlands and she answered no..She said she lived in Palistina around the time of Jesus and she Jewish herself too..but she said it was a bit vague and she doesn't remember much of it..Ok my bullshit alarm started ringin when she said that...The DJ asked her 1 more question...He asked if she had only lived on this planet..The woman again answered no and she said she also lived on VENUS...I started laughin out loud when I heard that...

Now I don't take it serious at all.. maybe some of you can give ur opinon and perhaps some other theories or maybe even ur own story...

from what i understand of both hinduism and buddhism belief in reincarnation, souls don't go into a body of a baby right before its born, at time of conception the soul is there. But before they are put there they're judged by karma on whether they'll return as a human or animal, when the person does bad things they return as animals while the good return as humans until they reach Nirvana.

Well, death/reincarnation/souls/almost everything linked to such is becoming a redundant & exhausted topic here.

As such, I'll keep it short & sweet.

While the idea of souls/reincarnation & the like are comforting & I would like to believe in them, I don't. I believe we are decaying organic tissue & when we die we are as we were before we were born.

In eastern spirituality, the idea of reincarnation is the equivalent of: heaven and hell. Islam, Christianity and Judaism believe that if you die and you're a bad person, you go to hell, and if you were a good person, you go to heaven. However, the idea that there's this duality cannot explain why some good people suffer on earth, and some don't.
Reincarnation, and the law of karma states that whatever you do will come back at you. There's no right or wrong, good or bad. So you will face the consequences of your actions in this lifetime or the next...
Another thing is when you talk about the soul, if you are sceptical about it (fair enough), just think about it as energy. Whatever you do or you're exposed to affects your life energy, and when you die, this energy, which was shaped with your actions (your karma) is drawn towards it's "opposite".
It's kind of hard to explain, but there are many scientific theories about reincarnation that have nothing to do with religion.

No thats incorrect, it dont matter how 'good' the person is, without faith and belief in God and the total rejection of his/her creator until death is just simply not good enough, but in the end God and only God will be the judge of us all

I'm not really sure if I believe in it or not. Of course some people would like to think that their soul lives on after they die but I dunno. I don't really have much of an opinion on it. Although I have heard people say about children that they have old souls, they've been here before. And I guess it would explain why they know so much at such a young age. Like this one little girl I know, she's only 3 years old and she will carry on a grown conversation with you. I mean, it's like talking to an adult in a tiny little body. And it's not childish talking either. She speaks very plainly and she doesn't even mispronounce things like alot of 3 year olds do. My nephew, he's only 9 and he can tell you more about death than most adults I know. He told us that he got his birthmark because when he was being born, God burned him on his hand and he cried. Now most people would laugh at that but he was dead serious when he said it, and he was only like 4 at the time. So maybe they are old souls, maybe they have been here before.

There was a story of a kid (4get his name) in America who went with his parents on a visit to India. After they came back, the boy decided that he wanted to be a monk (he was only 4 at the time). The parents let him go thinking it would soon pass, but it didn't. The boy stayed in the temple and lived the Buddhist way of life. They said that in a past life he was actually a Llama (not a Dali Llama, just a normal Llama - still a high rank). Of course that could be made up or whatever, but just the circumstances of how he came to be there, how young he was, etc make you wonder about reincarnation. Personally, I don't believe in it from a face value...I believe that we are reincarnated through our bloodline from generation to generation but not from a life, death, rebirth standpoint.

Legend has it that upon Gotama Buddha's Enlightenment he was able to recount all 500 of his past lives. Again, whether this is true or not nobody knows. We really won't know if this theory is true though until we're in Heaven or Hell (and if we don't end up there, and end up back in this hell then you'll have your answer...although you won't know it). Also it may be interesting to point out the differences in the Buddhist idea of reincarnation versus the Hindu. The Hindus believe that everybody is caught up in the cycle of samsara (endless suffering, actually its a Buddhist term but it explains the theory very well) - this includes humans, animals, gods, demons, demigods, etc. There is no way out of this cycle, we merely go through it and advance to different stages and places (earth, hell, heaven [theres different levels of both]). However, with Buddhism, they believe that - yes, while all beings are trapped in this samsara, there is a way out of it and it can be found within yourself. This is why, supposedly, the gods were so enthusiastic and supportive of Sidhartta's quest - because they needed a way out of that trap as well. This way out was, of course, Nirvana/Nibbana - which is the extinction of self [ego] which brings about Enlightenment and later [after death] Paranirvana/Parinibbana; which is the final nibbana, afterwhich an enlightened person will not be reborn and will rest in heaven.

^^ actually Hindu's believe in that too- once they have reached enlightenment or Nirvana, they enter heaven, until then, u are reicarnated on earth in different forms depending on ur karma. I dont believe in reicarnation, however i do believe in a life after death and each of us having a soul. My parents are Hindu- but they dont believe in reicarnation either- which is unusual.

I don't think Hindus believed that way though until Buddha came along. They may have believed in the path, but never really had anybody who achieved it/2 show them the way. Of course, I could be wrong though.

My view on reincarnation is like daffodils in the cycle of seasons, they bloom in the summer but die in the winter only to return again the following summer. Now apply that perspective to feelings and experiences in life; desire is constantly reborn day in day out, urges, traits, needs etc.

I heard Hinduism is completely bull because you can reincarnate into anything, literally. That's including a damn rock. Now I heard this from a number of people, I don't believe that is true nor do I really care but it seems like that is the biggest opposition to Hindu reincarnation.

^ They believe you can reincarnate into almost anything, there are some things that you aren't reincarnated as [I forget the list, but I know there are some things]. Jainism on the other hand, believes in the reincarnation of all things - including small insects, sticks, nibogas [tiny creatures that live for 2.5seconds then die], etc. Which is why they are very careful with what they eat/drink and how they live.

karma determines what they reincarnate as. Its not a lottery where winners become humans and losers become worms. Do bad things, come back as an animal, do good things, maybe a human. In Buddhism the cycle continues until one reaches nirvana

A question has been bothering me about reincarnation and may not make sense but anyways... Since people are constantly reincarnated it seems, your "soul" can live for a very long time, possibly from the beginning of time. So if your "soul" is to continue from one human to another and so forth, is there ever a new creation of a person/soul and if so how can it be fitted into that so called "cycle of life", if everything is already being reincarnated?

That's a good question...and I don't really remember going over any creation type of story when studying the religions associated with reincarnation. I think Hinduism actually has one, while I know Buddhism doesn't - they were concerned with the present, not the past, so they thought a creation story to be irrelevant; with Jainism, Im not sure. But for the most part, Im not sure about the new Souls thing...it was a topic that puzzled me as well, and I cant remember getting an answer. I do know, however, that some Souls do eventually liberate themselves from the samsara, and some do get chosen by the Gods to be released from samsara, so in these cases new souls may be created to balance out the losses.

^I got this book^, and it explains reincarnation in an anology of lighting one candle from the another, so as to pass on and continue its burning; the second flame being nothing without the first. It still has its essence from the other candle, and is a caused cause.
