Regarding the Board Awards

To begin with I would like to thank AmericazMost for putting the time and the effort into getting the awards off the ground and making all those threads in ET, sorry I had to close them (more on that later), and thanks to anyone else involved.

While I cleared the idea for the awards to go ahead, unfortunatly at the risk of losing "Best Admin Award" I have to put a stop to them for the time being. This week is generally "Tupac Week" around here, and I dont want to run anything else during this week.

Also, threads about it do not belong in ET, I will make a new forum for the award when I decide it's time to run them.

Furthermore I had a look over some of the nominations and I will not be allowing awards for best banned members or best probation members because I do not reward stupidity and do not reward people breaking our rules. Awards like this promote bad behaviour in the minds of the idiots. Also Best Looking Male will be voted for in the Ladies forum because only the ladies can vote on such things, and before you bring it up, gay people arent included.

Sorry to put the "man in charge" hat on, but well, I am the man in charge.

So in short, the awards will be back soon, same people in charge, just better structured and with my support.

Sounds good.But isnt there going to be like 8 nominees for the best looking male, and only 26 members (femme fatales) can vote?Can't you give the board's males a chance and let them vote, and every femme fatale vote is worth 2 votes?Or cut down the nominees to 4 or 5 (where the femme fatales choose the nominees) and other members can vote?
 
No problem Ruk with the whole trying to help out thing. I know you have a lot going on and I was trying to do all I could. I should've just trusted my first instinct and waited though.

And if you need help with anything when you do get it going, let me know.

Wow i go away for a weekend, nothin happens at all with these things. I go to work one night, and Amerikaz raids the ET forum wit nominations threads? Rukas finally shows up? lol and Amerikaz, im kinda disapointed u went and started those threads without the aproval of me. :( i thought we wer in this together.

PS- Ruk, i don no if u read the Final Categories thread, but me and Amerikaz hav done most of the arrangements and contibuted the most, so we wer wonderin if we cud mod the awards forum. Its just a suggestion tho, its 100% up to u

Lol I don't.But how many femme fatales are active members?12?So it's 5 nominees now, and only 12 people get to vote for a whole 5 nominee category.I just don't think that those Awards should be different than last year's.
I do not desperately want to vote for the best looking male.Whoever I was voting for, he was just about to get one more vote.I don't think it would've made any difference.There are tens, if not hundreds of other people who were going to vote for others.
I wouldn't mind if there were like 20 more femme fatales or so.

people kept bitching about how long it was taking, so i said screw it and did it...i needed to do something to keep me away from my homework anyway

Every week is Pac week for most people on the board. What makes this week so special?
 
I know that, but it's always a Pacboard anyway. That's what I was saying. Don't get me wrong, i've always been a Pac fan.

dont be mad cuz i had clearly won the probabation award

and its best member on probation, not worst member. best member means most improved. why be against rewarding improvement?
