What a game. David Beckham played brilliantly out on the right; if he can play that well for England he certainly deserves his place in the team. Owen also scored, which is good (unless you're a Liverpool/Newcastle fan, perhaps). Real might regret some of the chances they squandered (Carlos springs to mind) if they're level on points with Barca come season's-end and it goes to head-to-heads, because Barcelona would go through.

Carlos's speed to set up raul was wow
Brillent game, Beckham played well, Casilles saved Madrid alot of times.
Barcalona need another striker, they should have bought Anelka.

I thought it was a really good game.

One thing I noticed (or thought I did) was a reluctance to pass to Owen though.

It just seems that some players would prefer to pass to Ronaldo or Raul even when Owen is making good runs.

And there is no bias here as I despise Owen but do realize how effective he can be for Real.

Great game, but my good Carlos is so shit, bar that one run for Rauls goal he was terrible, his positioning is shocking

Yeah DPG, I agree that Carlos positioning is awful &, in this game, he wasn't that good at all but most of the time he more than makes up for his poor judgement with his work ethic & remarkable athletic abilities.

true about his work ethic etc but i just dont understand how a 32 year old can have such poor positioning.
