Pac recorded the verse and wrote in a total of 30 minutes 15 minutes to write 15 minutes to record. It was a nice session engineered by BOB MORSE who was engineering for ICE CUBE and EAZY E around the same time we were recording this gem at echo sound studios in LA.This is the time Pac was recording ME AGAINST THE WORLD .Rated R and Macadoshis were in the house doing it live with us 4 sho.Look for the 2006 remix featuring MOPREME AND MACADOSHIS OG THUG LIFE BABY!

it might actually be easier for me to do a mini interview then post it up here for u via aim or phone if u get the time
maybe this will help you out

OutlawSpirit: Whasup Assassin, thanks for taking the interview on OutlawSpirit.com

Assassin: No Doubt thanks for keeping me on deck, it sure is a pleasure.

OutlawSpirit: OK, Tell us... whats your favourite Tupac track?

Assassin: Wow,That's kind of a hard question for me but i can sum it up to this.

My favorite Pac track is how im feeling at the time so it varies. For instance here are my tracks when my emotions are dealt with what i will listen to.

MAD AND THINGS DONT GO MY WAY- "FUCK THE WORLD"
ABOUT TO GO TO A CLUB- "ALL EYEZ ON ME"
LOUNGIN OUT WITH CLOSE FRIENDS- "NEVA HAD A FRIEND LIKE ME"
CHILLIN WITH A BREEZY- "CAN U GET AWAY"
ABOUT TO GET SOME- "HOW DO YA WANT IT"
REMINISCE PAST FRIENDS GONE- "HOW LONG WILL THEY MOURN ME"
ON SOME ASSASSIN SH*T- "REAL BAD BOYZ/AMBITIONZ OF A RYDA"
PLAYER MODE- "WHAT'S YA PHONE #/TOSS IT UP"

There are so many different favorite songs for so many emotions and that's how you know u got hits when you cover these emotions that Pac covered and come with the exact beat that fits that emotion. Those are some of my picks of my favorites.

OutlawSpirit: And what do you think about the state of Tupac's legacy, Amaru etc?

Assassin: As you can see what's been going on with the latest FIASCO how they did my brother SHOCK G on and 2morrow it's very sad to me that people can just rip one's painting apart.EXAMPLE-That's like me and the homies getting together and doing a piece on a wall or subway that took many cans of paint to get that right finish tone and then it's finally complete and the next morning you peep and someone capped it or spit on it with their tagz, meanless hatred because of jealousy ,or it might be the case of control or money. On this situation it wasn't the money from how i look at it.

Someone is in the inside pulling these strings that's probably intimidated of one's work.First off all music was giving for that track in files. Why you ask for the simple clarification so that the lable can check if there are any samples that were used.Understandable-There were no samples SHOCK played everything no interpolations. They mix it down thereselves and MIX IT WRONG why you ask yourself and didn't use the musical legends SHOCK G's mix.Brings us back to the fact someone is hating and to top it off the whole track gets edited and they take off CANDYMAN 187's verse. Now that's another reason why i come to believe it's an inside job if you ask me unless they can make a statement why they did so im gonna roll with some inside playerhatism, right now a few names are being brought up to the table so we shall see what happens on this dilemma.

To me it's a repeative thing and im not surprised because it happened to me from past TUPAC work that i had done to see it remixed and butchered to my dislike of strange sounding horrible remixes and mixdowns of my original production work from LTTG to BETTER DAYZ.I never even got the original music score credit so like i said before in past interviews WHAT A DAMN SHAME! (I'm not surprised)

OutlawSpirit: How do you think they are affecting the legacy of Tupac?

Assassin: The Legacy is getting tarnished by past production shot calling on a commercial level. As far as the street level many people are starting to recognize the real from commercial tie suit calls to what was the real original production or who's involved or should be.

Overall i think there is still hope for the Legacy commercially if we can all get along at this point to bring back some good material or reach out to the Original Producers. The Legacy will remain forever in the streets the commercial Legacy will soon come to light as a SUIT AND TIE watered down unreal Legacy and the real LEGACY will prosper.

OutlawSpirit: The release of the 2006, final Tupac album is coming in the next year... whats your feelings on this?

Assassin: I hope all what was stated in my earlier comments be granted but that's a long shot and at this point i dont see it coming.Especially with this last release,we will sit back and watch soundscan and charts for now and try to hope for the best.

I think AFENI wants the best for her son's work and most of the decissions on the music end had nothing to do with her from what i see and hear.

OutlawSpirit: From calculations it appears there's plenty more Tupac material left. Do you beleive this will be the final album?

Assassin: Commercial and Tie wise maybe it will not unless if it sells overwhelming. If not Commercial and Tie wise it will be the last official retail album and sell tremendous units unless some songs are not included for another release.

OutlawSpirit: What would you like to see on the final Tupac album?

Assassin: OFCOURSE unreleased SHOCK G and ASSASSIN produced material because we got those at hand along with some of our camps production STEADY MOBBIN our company and MIKE MOSLEY who brought the past hits CAN U GETAWAY-HEAVY IN THE GAME i would like to see our BAY AREA producers get a shot for the last time if it's really the last call.

OutlawSpirit: Have you got any future projects or future plans?

Assassin: Up to bat next is the new album -MOPREME SHAKUR & ASSASSIN present BLACK AND BROWN PRIDE.

OutlawSpirit: Whats your views on hip hop's state at the moment?

Assassin: WIDE OPEN for all new aspiring young kids to bring on the new generation of HIPHOP in a state of how it was in the earlier stages of rap with more creativity, hopefully we will see that in the future. The state it is in right now is just waiting for that.Until then we are a little lost but it will work out.

OutlawSpirit: What artists do you think are really making moves for 2005/2006?

Assassin: Artists that are networking and involved directly with the community and fans -INDY wise or MAJOR wise thats the key to making moves.

OutlawSpirit: Any advice for young producers, artists trying to get into the game?

Assassin: Stay focused and away from negativity and stay true to it.Learn all the aspects of the business.Even if not prosperous, we know you still love the game so even if it never works out you can still prosper through the business end. If smart, Learn from books magazines and past moguls that have already prospered.

OutlawSpirit: Once again, thanks Assassin for taking the interview... and please take the time to give a few shouts to people...

Assassin: SHOUT TO ALL WHO SUPPORT AND THE 7th LETTER. REST IN PEACE TO ALL WHO HAVE BEEN LOST AND NOW IN A BETTER PLACE. REMEMBER THAT.
