Ice Cube 8/10. Used to be one of the best & still probably has it in him although he's fell off.
Dr. Dre 10/10. Legendary. Mic skills are not up to par but his influence & albums are.
Nas 8/10. Top rapper.
Jay-z 8/10. One of the greats.
Ja Rule 4/10. Good voice for it, generic topics & lyrics.
Mos Def 6/10. Creative rapper but has yet to polish off his rough spots.
Havoc 6/10. Not a big fan.
Prodigy 7/10. Superior to Havoc & has some real harsh verses.
Biggie 10/10. On point 99% of the time.
KRS-One 9/10. Legendary. Arrogant & conscious.
Snoop Dogg 8/10. His voice & flow outweigh his simple lyrics.
Tech9ne 9/10. Doesn't have the status of other "9/10s" but the talent is there.
Crooked I 9/10. Crazy similies & metahphors. Ferocious.
Eminem 9/10. Another great. His talent should be undeniable but some still hate.
Wu-tang 8/10. So many characters, so many flows, so many ill verses, so many dope beats.
LL Cool J 7/10. If this was based on influence, LL would be well up there, but as it's based on artistic merit, I can't give him more than 7.
Xzibit 7/10. Dropped some quasi-classic material & is a very good rapper.
Chino XL 6/10. Ill as fuck at times, but usually waffly & irrelevant. His talent as a rapper is huge, but as an artist? Not really.
Tupac 10/10. Not the greatest emcee ever, but a legendary artist.
Bun B 7/10. Has been hot for a while now.
Kool G Rap 9/10. The original mafioso mofo.
50 Cent 7/10. Not the best of rappers, but one of the best songwriters out there.
Comptons Most Wanted 6/10. I like Eiht....that's about it.
E40 7/10. The man raps in another dialect lol. Respect.
Too Short 9/10. The greatest pimp rap has ever seen. Snoop Dogg, bow down.
DMX 8/10. Again, another emcee who isn't all that but his material is solid.
Talib Kweli 7/10. Great rapper but the material is still not fully reflective of his talents.
Puff Daddy 6/10. One of the best "ears" in rap history apparently but a poor rapper & his tendency to just jack beats pisses me off.
Afroman 3/10. I Got High is great...but he isn't.
Kane 10/10. In my Top 5 Dead Or Alive.
Saigon 7/10. I don't want to make a judgement on his mic ability, but his material is strong.
Masta Ace 9/10. How many dope albums does one of the G.O.A.Ts have to make until he is recognized en mass? Apparently, right down to his last.
AZ 9/10. So much talent, such great music, so little recognition.

Wu-tang 7/10 Love em, but I dunno, they just don't seem real solid, if that makes any sense.

hahahaaaha, Yeah I never listened to a whole xzibit album, I cant listen to every rapper, anyway I like pac more than kool g rap and I think a lot of can agree or at least accept it. But J-kwon over too short, now way.

Dr. Dre 7/10 makes ok songs, doesnt have much skill. but he is def a good producer.
Nas 10/10 consistent, plenty of poetic type of songs, great lyricist, made the message
Jay-z 7/10 good lyricist. i loved his debut. not very consistent with his music though.
Ja Rule 4/10 made some good club bangers, everything else sucks.
