I'm sorry... what with all the hating on this album, and my opinion being that its actually a worthwhile album, i HAVE to rate it...I'm here to defend it lol
1. Soldier Like Me - Good verses by Pac, aint really feeling Em's chorus but its OK, nothin really standout about this track but nothin really wrong with it either, good opener i guess 3.5/5
2. The Uppercut - Good verse by Pac, lovin the chorus, Outlawz come decent on this track 3.5/5
3. Out On Bail - LOVE THIS!!!! Pac is at his Thugged-Out-Finest and the beat fits the song perfect, lovin the verses and the chorus 5/5
4. Ghetto Gospel - Kinda played out now but its definetly tight, i like how Pac's vocals were slowed down and Elton Johns chorus is dope 4/5
5. Black Cotton - DOPE! Pac, Em & The Lawz all come good on this, like the chorus and like Pac's verse, dope track 4/5
6. Loyal 2 The Game - HATED it at first but its grew on me, good verse by Pac, even speeded up its still tight, G Unit come tight, lovin 50's chorus, good track, could do with a 2nd Pac verse though but oh well 3/5
7. Thugs Get Lonely Too - LOVED the OG, aint really feelin this as much, the beat and the chorus by Nate are just average really, the OG is a classic, this is just pretty average 3/5
8. N.I.G.G.A - Nahhhhhhhhh aint really feeling this, Pac has like a average bland 2 second verse then Jadakiss comes in and basically.....that's it... 2/5
9. Who Do U Luv - BLAND! definetly a studio scrap lol...Pac aint really at his best and the beat aint great either 2.5/5
10. Crooked Nigga Too - Aint really feelin the super speedy lyrics, prefer the remix 2.5/5
11. Dont You Trust Me - DOPE!! lovin the Dido sample, she fits it perfect, and the beat is tight and Pac comes tight, lovin this song, shoulda been a single, woulda been a big hit 4/5
12. Hennessy - HATED it at first but its grew on me, the beat is like.... a little different but cool, fits the song well, Pac comes tight and i think him and Obie sound good together 3.5/5
13. Thug 4 Life - LOVED the original, was so G'd up and funky, but this is just wack as fuck!! the beat sounds a ZILLION miles away from anythin Pac woulda ever used, just ruins the whole thing...SKIP this one, possibly the worst track from any Pac album ever 1/5
14. Po Nigga Blues - Pac comes tight, and lovin Isley's crooning, Better Dayz esque...good track 3.5/5
15. Hennessy - Ahhhh!! now this is dope, the beat sounds like something Pac woulda got down with, guests come very strong, very mellow track, i always play this when im in a chilling mood 4/5
16. Crooked Nigga Too - Prefer this version, with the slowed down lyrics, much more mellow and laid back...Pac's verse fits in more natural with this beat, like it 3/5
17. Loyal 2 The Game - LIKE this one, good beat, and Syke comes strong, lovin Quik's verse....him and Pac were made for each other, they fit each others style like a glove, still crying out for a 2nd Pac verse but oh well, still tight 3.5/5
There you have it homies!!! I dont think this album is one of Pac's best, but the hate it gets on these boards is unfair i think, its a worthwhile album!! some horrible miscues like Thug 4 Life but some classics like Out On Bail and Ghetto Gospel....Em done a good job although im not sure if his beats really fit Pacs style, id like to see him on the next album but with like 4 tracks to produce maximum, and a couple gues appearances wouldnt hurt either....the 4 guest producers all did good jobs and i think they fit Pac's style better, Em did a good job though, when hes working with basically, Pac's studio scraps.
