how do i play them?? torrents are so retarded...who the hell uses these file types?

first of all, what did you download? music? movie?

make sure it's not .tar or .rar (rename and try to decompress)

i googled ".rat file" and i found "Nimbus 7 SAMS Data File"

.rat is the file extension for the Datafile associated with RATS
.. found that on google..

^^ like saltynuts said ...check if it;s not a .rar file because then all u do is get winrar and extract the file(s)
