It's that time of year again, Thanksgiving has gone and past and a lot more people have been in need of help this year with the tragic events of the last year in the United States, especially in New Orleans.

However you can always rely on those in the rap music industry to remember their roots and return to their old neighbourhoods to make donations. Here is a brief summary of some of the rappers and their donations.

New York residents can look to Terror Squad's leading lady for Thanksgiving trimmings. In her home borough of the Bronx, Remy Ma will be handing out 600 turkeys and 400 hams to families in need. The event took place Wednesday, November 23rd from 6pm to 8pm at the Jessica Guzman Medical Center, 626 Castle Hill Avenue in the Bronx.

The homeless in Houston, TX won't be going hungry this Thanksgiving thanks to a group of Hip-Hop VIP's from the area. J.Prince, CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records, and Deandre Byrd of Club Visions & Swishahouse are teaming up to give a feast for those in need.

The Thanksgiving dinner at Club Visions will be hosted by Bun-B, Mike Jones and Slim Thug , from 1pm to 4pm, Thursday November 24. There will be shuttle buses to transport individuals and families from the Prince Boxing Complex (3000 Jenson Drive) to Club Visions downtown, starting at noon.

Similarly, Crescent City natives and Cash Money Records founders Ronald 'Slim' Williams and Bryan 'Birdman' Williams, wouldn't let Hurricane Katrina prevent them from continuing their annual holiday tradition of providing a memorable Thanksgiving to those less fortunate. This year they dedicated their annual turkey giveaway to more than 2000 evacuees, survivors and displaced residents of the crisis with a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner.

Along with Lil Wayne, the two hosted a dinner Tuesday, November 22nd at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA., from 4pm to 8pm. The event was co-sponsored by SU.

"So many of our friends and family were devastated by this terrible tragedy, we wanted to do something a little more elaborate this year to address the needs of the people who have lost so much and might not have the resources to remember the holiday," said Ronald Williams via statement."We want to show our love and support for these courageous survivors who never, ever give up."

Williams' own home and offices were destroyed by Katrina, as were his brother's, Lil Wayne's, and other members of the Cash Money family

"We're just happy we are still able to provide our annual blessing this holiday," stated Birdman."It's in that spirit that we want to show our friends and neighbors how much the Cash Money family cares about nurturing this community and rebuilding New Orleans."

This is the Sixth Annual Thanksgiving Charity event for the Cash Money entrepreneurs, who have been on-hand for each holiday giveaway, personally handing out 25 lb. turkeys.

And finally Multi-Platinum rapper/actor Ludacris provided a Thanksgiving to remember for needy Atlanta families with 1,800 Thanksgiving Food Boxes through his non-profit organization The Ludacris Foundation.
