21 year old Atlanta based rapper, DG Yola was shot in his car in a drive by shooting at what authorities say was a robbery attempt turned into attempted murder.
The aspiring rapper was sitting at a red light when shots were fired at him. Reports have confirmed that Yola had a bullet come through one cheek and out the other. It's also being said that Yola having his mouth open at the time may have caused for the bullet to come from one cheek and out the other, which may have saved his life.
Even with this latest occurence, the once homeless rapper continues to defies odds, as his motivation has driven him to even start writing while currently in recovery. The ATL buzzed rapper is scheduled to drop his debut album on Atlantic Records, titled Gutta World in June of this year.
No word has yet to be released by the rapper's representatives on what the assailants tried to heist from the rapper.
