Rap Chart Movement: Soulja Boy Steals The Top Spot, Plies Ascension Continues

After a six week run at No. 1 on Billboard's "Top Rap Albums Chart", Lupe Fiasco gets knocked off the top spot this week by Soulja Boy.

Soulja Boy's Souljaboytellem.com shelved off 18,800 discs this week, pushing the album's total sales to 745,900.

Lupe Fiasco falls to the No. 2 spot. 15,800 folks picked up The Cool this week, pushing the album's tally to 302,000.

Birdman flies two spots up to No. 3. 5 Star Stunna has moved 246,100 CDs thus far, with 12,800 representing the week-in total.

Jay-Z refuses to give up his No. 4 spot. American Gangster bags up 12,090 units this week. To date, the album has sold 965,300 copies.

Kanye West slides two spots down to No. 5. Graduation ropes in 12,000 units this week. The albums tally stands at 1,970,200.

Bow Wow and Omarion stay stuck to the No. 6 spot for the third week in a row. Face Off scans 9,600 discs this week. After 8 weeks, the album has sold 295,200 copies

Plies continues to feed off last week's momentum and moves a spot up to No. 7. The Real Testament rings out 7,100 CDs this week. So far, the album has sold 431,800 copies.

50 Cent slips a spot down to No. 8. Curtis hauls in 6,560 units this week, pushing the album's total sales to 1,265,200.

DJ Drama and Scarface hang on to the spots they held last week, No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. Drama's Gangsta Grillz cashed out 6,504 copies this week while Scarface' M.A.D.E. moved 6,200 copies.

Gangsta Grillz has sold a total of 133,400 copies while M.A.D.E. has sold a total of 158,000 copies.
