I would have never thought of Palmero using the roids. Man and I actually respected him. Like I've always said the best baseball players all the old timers. You know the ones that never took any substance other than alcohol ala Babe Ruth. Joe freaking Dimaggio going to WW2 for 3 years and still he came back strong.

the players union hasn't responded, and apparently Congress will put pressure on them this winter

Im tired of hearing about what they will do to players who use, i'd rather hear what they are doing about prevention. They didn't even know about half the substances being used until it became an eye opener to the public. Is baseball really trying to prevent this or just punish those who do use. I mean it's obvious they are doing things but get it so each test tests everything known, get some undercover agents or something fuck. This is just getting annoying.
If it is true that he didn't know i feel some sympathy but he still needs to get his punishment. And if he did know and just making an excuse, what a fucking dumbass, steroids in baseball will be one of the biggest stories in sports for the next few years. Blah.
