Well i'm quitting cigarettes again. Good fun!
First time i quit i did so for about 9 months before i fell under the trap that i can quit whenever i want.
And the last time i quit cigarettes i started up the next day pretty much because i was too hyper active, running a muck around melbourne. Watching Toy Story and pretending to cry, skipping down the streets etc etc.

But it's time to quit. No patches, no nichotine gum, nothing... It's been over 16 hours since my last cigarette and i'm not gittery yet, but it will come...

Anybody else quitting, wanting to quit, have quitted etc etc?

^Yeah, he's very strong.
If I were to ever quit, I wouldn't,more like cut to 4-7 cigs a day. There are times that I got problem coping with without a cig.

sigh, i know what youre saying. I quit once for 2 weeks, until my buddy lit one in front of me...i couldnt help myself. Ive been smoking since i was 16, 17, havent really thought of quitting recently, crossed my mind tho. I dont plan on quitting anytime soon. Sounds dumb, but i like smoking. Im gonna quit sooner or later, but now cause of school, work and shit, theres too much stress involded. Especially now when mid-terms are getting schedueled and what not. But ya, good for u, 16 hours....not bad. Althought i'd recommend patches to ease it up a bit.

bless

ps - aparently, if someone smokes lets say 5 cigarettes a day and wants to quit completely, he or she must GRAUDALY DECREASE the amound of cigarettes smoked per day. So week 1, you have 5 smokes a day, week 2, 3 smokes a day and so on, and so on.

peace

quit smoking.arrrggggg urrrggg ggggggrrrrrrrrrr i cantttt stand the thought.id seriously probably end up blowing something up.i got a short temper so the nicotine keeps me chillin

trying to cut down a bit because it's an expensive habit for one and smoking is an enemy of oral hygiene.

i hate the ritualistic part about smoking, like lighting up when i wake up or smoking after every meal. i've stopped smoking in the morning and i try to go as long as i can. i guess i've cut down about 3-4 cigs per day but of course i always light one up after lunch. i usually smoke about 10 cigs a day.

I actually did "quit" last December but I started again when I was on holiday in Greece this summer. The problem with cigarettes is that if you once was addicted, there's no way to just have one and then go on with your life. The hard part is staying off the smokes.

for the past 4 months i've been on this mad campaign to quit smoking... for my g.f. we made a deal that by the time we finish HSC i would hav stopped, and that was 4 months ago... so this is my plan

I used to smoke Dun Hill Blues -8ml cigerettes.

So every month i decided i'd go down in two's or so...

so i went

- 8ml
- 6ml
- 4ml
- 1ml (Skipped a level) <--- where i'm at now...

and the plan is by the end of the month i should be done!

I've tried quitting before... it's hard as fuck, stupid ugly mother fuckin habit.

went through a big hyper active stage last night. Haven't been able to sleep as of yet. Stayed over at a friends and now at work. No cigarettes as yet though.
It's good. Soon i shall get a chest infection to get rid of all this shit in my lungs (looking forward to it)

Smoke weed instead, i can chill with the effects of a joint for hours but a fag just doesn't do anything for me. I stopped fags cos the smell between my fingers drove me crazy, one of those smells you hate but you have to smell it repeatedly.

Friend who used to smoke 20 a day has quit for 8 months so far, weaned himself off them with nicotine patches and said they were brilliant for numbing the craving.
