Is 1 a prime number? According to most charts and stuff, its not, its never on there. But 1, in my opinion is, because when multiplying one times one, those are two different variables such as 1a and 1b. Therefore 1 is a prime number. Its science!

Opinions?

We don't talk about this shit anymore in school, fuckin Geometry has us drawing patterns and shit.

That said, I forgot what a prime number is.

a prime number is a number that can only be divided by 1 and itself.
i know about 0.5 etc., but we are talking about "Z" which is a set (=0;1;2;3;4;5).

so, yes, 1 is a prime number.

That's the definition of a prime number that you're taught to simplify things. In most definitions of a prime number, 1 is not included.

If you're really interested, read this.

This is so gay, why do we care whether or not 1 is a prime number, it wont help with anything in our lives.
