I'll go first:

Dave Ghetto's been endorsed by DJ Jazzy Jeff, Just Blaze, and Fat Joe among others. He has a single out, produced by 9th Wonder and featuring Phonte from Little Brother and Mystic. Pharoahe Monch and Cee-lo are gonna be on his album.

He sounds kinda like Mos Def. Fans of Justus League, late '90s Rawkus shit, and the Native Tongues vibe will feel him.

Here's his album sampler: http://www.counterflowrecordings.com/DAVE_GHETTO_LOVELIFE_SAMPLER.mp3

Mase posted that link because I got his puppy.

On topic: I dig it. When I first heard him on the Mystic album I thought it was Mos Def for a short minute. I only found out that he had some other material out 2 months back. I heard his groups EP, but I think they got a couple of LPs out as well, so I wont mind trying to give them a listen (if I find them).

Two Chicago artists I love are E.C. Illa and Juice. Both have been around for over a decade and both are legendary in Chicago. However, neither has ever received much national acclaim, as is the case for many emcees from Chi-Town.

E.C. Illa aka White Folks is a white rapper and a member of the Ill State Assassins. He released his first EP in 1992 and his first LP Da Illa in 1995. There were rumors awhile back that Rap-A- Lot was going to sign him, but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe if Dr. Dre had signed him, he would be the white rapper who has sold 50 million records instead of that other dude. Here are a couple of tracks:

E.C. Illa - Young Illa

J.u.i.c.e. is known for his freestyle abilities and is recognized nationally for defeating Eminem in 1997 at the Rap Olympics in Los Angeles. He released the LPs 100% J.U.I.C.E. in 2001 and All Bets Off in 2005. Both are dope albums.

Here are some Juice tracks I posted in another thread earlier today:
