Proper Bar Ettiquette?

Haven't you seen Reservoir Dogs? These people make shit. lol.

Anyways, here in Canada it isn't like in Europe, tip isn't included on the bill at a restaurant or at a pub. So we usually tip 15%, when it comes to me, I usually tip 30% or more if the service is great, and if the guy is a prick I just keep it at 15%. I know how it feels to not be tipped and it's ass, especially when you go above and beyond to give good service. If it makes them happy to receive the tip and it encourages better service in the future. Why not?

Love that movie lol. But bartenders make good money, especially when Eric's tipping them 200%.

At restaurants, I figure out what the 15% tip would be and then round the total bill up to the next dollar. If the service is better than average, I accomodate accordingly.

Don't you understand the bartender is flirting with you and going straight home and handing your money to her boyfriend? LMAO. Sucker!

Why dont you fuckers do wat i do and show up at the club already fucked up? I drink before i go to the club/bar and then when i get there i dont drink as much as if i went sober. But i usually tip $2 bucks per beer and thats on a good day.

I live off of tips, people don't realize that's what we work for. Don't go to a restaurant if you don't have money to tip. Waiters & Bartenders make from 3-6 dollars an hour.

My Samsung phone has a Tip Calculator. It's a conspiracy.

my old phone had that too and it was a lg.

exactly. waiters and bartenders have salaries that are lower because they are expected to receive tips.

i am so against tipping it's not even funny
It is not the customers responsibility to tip for good service. They are supposed to give good service to begin with and the employer is to pay sufficiently so they do provide that.

That said.. i do what rukas does. I generally don't like my pockets being heavy.. so i generally just make them keep the change.. and i keep the notes.

It depends on my mood, how often I go to the place, how much I've got to spare, the bartender, the service and how much I need the money vs how much he needs. Most of the time it's in the range of 15-20% of the bill, but I've tipped as high as 400% in the past. I am usually more generous when I am back home.

I can't believe you people tip like that. I think that tipping someone for doing their fucking job is absolutley ridiculous. I know bartenders and waiters make shitty money, but fuck, don't look to your customers for that extra cash, go to your employer. I think tipping at the bar is the stupidst shit ever, if your paying 5 dollars for a beer and then tipping $2 why not just spend the extra 3 dollars go to a vendor and get a 6pack. Also what the fuck am i tipping them for opening a fridge and grabbing a drink? Or pouring some liquids together? Wtf?

yeah but its like a common habit to tip bartenders and waiters. its such a habit that employers expect them to get tips, hence the shitty salary. what do you want the employees to do? plus they make good money with the tips, why would they not want them lol

Ok, but you completly missed my point. Why would I wanna tip them? And furthermore, why should I?
