Mobb Deep member Prodigy was a granted a 30 day stay after being hospitalized after being admitted in to the emergency room last night (January 7).
While details as to why the New York bred emcee was hospitalized are unknown at this time, it is rumored that the rapper suffered from complications from Sickle Cell Anemia and was released the same night.
Prodigy, whose real name is Albert Johnson, was scheduled to turn himself into New York State authorities today (Jan. 8) to begin his three and a half year prison term, after pleading guilty in October of 2007 to unlawful possession of a firearm.
