Film & TV possible sequel to Deniro's Taxi Driver!

According to the New York post, both Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro are planning a possible follow-up to the 1976 cult classic Taxi Driver. "I was talking with Martin Scorsese about doing what I guess you’d call a sequel to 'Taxi Driver,' where he is older," De Niro told journalists. In 'Taxi Driver,' a mentally unstable Vietnam war veteran works as nighttime taxi driver in a city whose perceived decadence and sleaze feeds his urge to violently lash out.

I'm skeptical. Could be good - it is Scorsese and DeNiro - but then again, a sequel to a classic film like that has to be REALLY good to not disappoint.

Anyway, it's bound to be better than the Scarface sequel/remake/whatever.
