What the fuck is this Pontoon shit?

The crew and I have been going to the Casino a lot lately, my game is Roulette, but I play a little Black Jack too. So whats is Pontoon? From what I can tell the 10s have been removed, but there must be more to it than that?

I go to casinos all the time, but never heard of it. Maybe its just a variation of blackjack? Kinda like they have 3-card poker and all those other games.. I always stick with Blackjack though.. You have the best odds.. I think the money wheel and roulette have the worst from what ive heard/read! Whenever I play Roulette, I always stick with the outside and go with the 3-1 bets.. And mix it up with the 1-18,19-36, red, black bets too..

I know its like black jack, but it has to be different in SOME ways, what are the ways? Like i said im pretty sure the 10s have been taken out.

Fataldawg, I used to play the 1st 12, 2nd 12 and then 2 rows of the 3rd twelve, because if it lands on 1st or 2nd u get your three chips back but if it lands on the 2 rows you get 5 chips, but then you have 2 rows that if it lands on you're fucked.

But you never make a lot of money that way. The best way is to spread the chips over the tables, usually on the corners of 4 numbers, but all over the place, then a bet on odds or evens or black or red and you get massive combo bets going. Between three of us we started with $120 and walked away with close to a $1000 the other night.

I think Blackjack is just the American version of Pontoon (which comes from the French name vingt-et-un, meaning 21).

I'm not too familiar with Blackjack, but I think these rules differ from standard Blackjack rules.

Two hands beat a regular 21; Pontoon (aka Blackjack, an Ace and a 10/face card) and a Five-Card-Trick (holding five cards that don't bust you)
The dealer wins in a push
The dealer is dealt his cards face down and stay that way until the player stands, unless the dealer has Pontoon in which case he reveals them and the player loses

The 10's aren't removed in Pontoon
