Amara, it's great to think that way. As a matter of a fact, it's wonderful to have a mentality such as yours. However, reality is a lot different than theory. I'm not suggesting I am above anyone, simply that I have studied the subject, therefore, I would consider my understanding better than those who have not. When did I say it was only committed by the poor?! lol. I said it was rooted in the structure of our society and economy - you jumped to the illogical conclusion yourself.

Yeah you want to change the system and all, I can respect that. But as much as you change the system in order to help people, you have just as many people exploiting it. Human nature.

About time we stopped accepting the bullshit theories pulled out of psychologists asses to justify certain negative aspects of society. (And accpet that, "that's must the way it is") Root cause is what Amara talks about, you taclke that, you got the problem by the balls, untill then you can pump as much money as you want in to it with as much violence reciprocated as you want. (A circle comes to my mind)

however, the problem Groobz is not in the armaments given to the police or the power they are given. rather it is the system of rehabilitation/ punishment (aka gaol) which you need to find a balance between. taking someones freedom away is nt always the best method of rehabilitation / punishment. there are other ways you know.......................also Capital Punishment is a deterrent
