^ I think he should be locked up if the authorities feel that he is a threat to the public.
Isn't the answer to that pretty obvious
They're rioting sort of and truthfully I cant be mad at it.
You are saying that the cop is threat to the public?
If so, it's not obvious to me.
He's not an armed robber with a criminal record.
He shot an unarmed civilian in the back, civilians happen to be part of our public, so yeah.
Do you think there's a good possibility that this cop is going to walk down the street tomorrow and commit crimes? I really doubt it.
I think you can agree that a gun can go off accidently. And a cop carrying a gun is part of the job in America. A civilian bringing a gun to a fist fight is not their duty. That's the difference I see. I think it's fair for the cop to stay in hiding until the investigation finds a reason to lock him up.
Edit: I didn't see the "accident is bullshit" part earlier...
I thought you'd agree since you saw the video from Brazil - that cop didn't shoot that guy on purpose. and you didn't get mad.
I don't buy the taser gun thing, but I can buy an accidental discharge of the weapon while using the butt of the gun as a blunt weapon. But I'm just an amateur and the videos I've seen are inconclusive.
So, he's a ....security guard at a subway station or something?

^ To call it abuse of power would imply that he did it consciously. I mean, I can't believe that was deliberate but at the same time I can't believe it was accidental either.
I mean, let's hypothetically, let's say he wanted to shoot the guy. Either he panicked, which is even more tragic but somehow excusable (excusable, not justifieable)... etc etc
They're not any different from other police officers.
I'm not sure about that.
