I was lucky enough to meet the Pope as a young Polish boy living in Rome in the mid 80s, he means a lot to us all, Polish or not, Catholic or not.

you Polish? Damn, its been a polish week for me. with the pope being polish, one of my friends leaving for a holiday in Poland and my father putting in 2 pole guys and 2 pole girls (immigrants) in his other house.

As I said before, I'm not very catholic, but I have a HUGE respect for John Paul II. I'll pray for him this night, he was a great pacifist, and he had an admirable strenght and wisdom.
