You'll get equal support for both vBulletin and phpBB. That's because there's a paid team for vBulletin and millions of people that can help you out with phpBB.

Regardless of what question you have, there's an answer out there because the phpBB community is almost as thick as blood. OpenSource projects always get more love than private ones.

As for phpBB not being able to handle high load of users, that's not true. The largest, or second largest messageboard in the world, is powered by phpBB.

vBulletin has penetrated the Internet so much that it convinces people its much better than competitors. That's not true at all. Its all fiction. It may be better, but certainly its not worthy paying for.

If both were offered to me for free, I'd go with vBulletin simply because it looks better, in terms of design and it has few more features. Most vBulletin templates also look better than phpBB, but that's no reason to pay for it. Looks don't warrant $160.

Do you want Rukas to be sued by Google? There have been companies and invidividuals that have been in trouble because they tried to cheat the system. The best thing to do is not do anything like that.
