Playground Crazes: 'Happy Slap TV'

BBC London News reported this afternoon on a new craze amongst London youths: slapping random commuters in the face and filming the result on mobile phones with video cameras. The resulting 'Happy Slap TV' clips are then shared amongst friends causing much hilarity.

A psychologist on the programme put some of the blame on the BBC itself, saying that shows like Dom Jolly's 'Trigger Happy TV' had inspired these copy-cat clips. He also said that it was part of a general trend whereby people weren't content to simply consume the media and instead want to be part of it, creating and sharing content.

I've just seen some of these videos on my mates phone, Im sure that many people around the UK have seen them. Anyway heres two of the videos that i manged to find on the web. This shit is supposedly becoming a craze among youthz around London

I would find this slightly funny if it was softer slap, but they hit em so fukin hard. These Kids need a beatin in my oppinion. Theres an even worse one where they're at the top of a double decker bus and theyre slappin the shit out of this white dude. He jus fukin runs away and gets straight off the bus. These Kids need sortin out.

I agree wid u that these kids seriously deserve a beating, but they don't deserve to be killed. But I must admit the clip did make me laugh at first, but then I thought about it and realised that they are a set of pussies, targeting the weak.
