There's 2 reasons why I read various holy books. 1 - Because they were written by imcredibly intelligent people and I'm interested in what they have to say. 2 - Because I'm looking for the parts which don't add up, the parts which expose it as fake.

I'm sorry if I offended any religious people, these are only my opinions. And I do think that the books are good for a lot of people and can help those who are lost. Reading is good for increasing your mind and religious books hold a lot of knowledge.

He's got some good points like i said in the "i'm turnin..." thread or what ever it was called about religion, i've saw lot of theories of how the bible is man made, and also believe it or not if ya watch the matrix it shows ya alot about how religion was meant to be staged and stuff, the matrix relates alot to what happens today which is why it is such a great film

yes. i also think that. i think all this religion and these books are for the people who dont have enough condifendence and need things like these to help guide them. except i do believe in god. but i never read any of the books by prophets because as much as i respect their work, i have my own ideas and opinions and i personally dont think that i need to really hear what they were sayin.
thats why i think less and less people are really truely into religion and thats because i thnk people are now more spiritually aware. if you compare now to the 1600's. almost everyone was extremely relgious. but now not as many people are and maybe its because of reincarnation and people are living and coming back smarter and smarter (if u do believe in reincarnation). but still, the relgion idea is a good tool for the people who need it and it gives them confidence and as long as it it doing that, im not mad at it.

Remember that not everyone who believes in god believes in the bible. This is a common mistake people make unknowingly, as if the bible speaks for all believers. I dont believe certain aspects of the bible but believe in god (im not even christian).

I read somewhere that Mary Magdalene was acctually MARRIED to Jesus, and that she was infact at the Last Supper not sure if its true tho'
