Fuckers.

I've been paying £35 per month for my broadband for ages. I have just found out I should have been paying £20, but I was on the wrong service. I have now downgraded to their cheapest option. Fuckers charged me £50.

And I got them 6 new customers.

Fuckers. No-one in the UK use PIPEX.

lol wtf?! oh wait, did you sign up to a minimum time limit contract? Eg you must be subscribed for a year, because if you cancel we'll financially castrate you?

It was 'unlimited'. We took that literally. After 3 months they said we could transfer to another provider, and they would cancel the contract. Apparently it has been cancelled. Thats according to the cancellations department. But they need to talk to the billing department. And they don't. so I have to. And I had smarttalk (phone) as well...so the relevant cancellation departments (again 2) need to be informed by me. Then the cycle continues. I'm thoroughly fucked off with being passed btween all the people and having to keep phoning different numbers....I'm just gonna write a letter. To the chief executive. I hate them all.

that doesnt even make sense but that's roughly it....

If you keep getting passed between them all write a letter to their accounts explaining that you are cancelling and that you require any additional money you owe itemising and putting in a bill then cancel your direct debit. As soon as they receive it in writing and assuming your contract allows you to cancel early it's up to them to round up all the relevant information as they have been given notice and you are then no longer liable. They make it difficult in the hope you'll get pissed off and stay with them.

BT is all good. I pay roughly £20 a month for a 2MB connection. I get a bill every quarter, so broadband is £60 every time I get a bill, which isn't bad considering my net is on 24/7.
