Pimp C of the Houston rap duo, UGK, suffered minor injuries but his bodyguard was hospitalized after a car crash in Port Arthur, Texas.
The rapper, born Chad Butler, had just finished working on the video for his single "Pouring Up" Wednesday when a vehicle being chased by a gunman ran a red light and crashed into his Bentley, SOHH.com reported Friday.
Pimp C and a passenger were both treated and released, but his bodyguard remained hospitalized, the Web site said.
Three people were arrested at the scene and Port Arthur police confiscated an automatic rifle.
Pimp C's second solo album, Pimpalation, hits U.S. store shelves June 13. An accompanying DVD by the same name is available now.
