Pimp-C has been granted parole, confirmed by a phone call to The Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

The other half of UGK has finally had his parole approved after being handed an 8 year sentence for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The parole board are currently investigating his home situation and hopefully he'll be back home before the end of the month.

Pimp-C and Bun B formed UGK in the late 80s, releasing several major label albums with Jive, including Too Hard to Swallow, Ridin' Dirty, and Dirty Money. He also featured on such tracks as “Pocket Full of Stones” from Menace to Society or his guest appearances on Jay-Z’s hit “Big Pimpin” and 3-6 Mafia’s “Sippin on Some Sizzurp".

With his partner Bun-B finally getting his chance to shine, Pimp-C should now get his time in the spotlight and the financial benefits that come with the success.
